* Timing... light snow now appears likely tonight with heavier accumulations beginning Wednesday afternoon. Strong winds are also expected to create hazardous blowing and drifting of snow Wednesday evening and through Thursday. Snow will begin tapering off early Thursday.
* Total snow accumulations... storm total snowfall of 4 to 6 inches can be expected across the western Nebraska Panhandle by early Thursday.
* Winds/visibilities... southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph initially this evening will gradually turn northerly by Wednesday. Winds will then become northwest and increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph Wednesday night and Thursday creating considerable blowing and drifting snow across the western Nebraska Panhandle.
* Impacts... travel conditions will be adversely impacted in falling and blowing snow late Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night... and by continued blowing and drifting snow Thursday.
