The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of southeast Wyoming. A Winter Storm Warning means that a winter storm... with significant snow and strong winds is occurring or will soon in our area for the specified time period.
The snowfall criteria is 6 inches of snow in 12 hours and 8 inches in 24 hours in the lower elevations. In the mountains the criteria is 8 inches of snow in 12 hours and 10 inches in 24 hours.
During the winter storm... do not venture outside if at all possible. If you must travel... try to plan for the possible winter storm and delay travel or use another Route. Be sure to let others know of your travel plans and bring along a winter survival kit in your vehicle.
