Freeze Warning
Statement as of 3:34 PM CDT on October 13, 2008
... Freeze warning in effect from 4 am to 9 am CDT Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 4 am to 9 am CDT Tuesday.
A cold high pressure system will move south into the region
overnight. Clear skies and light winds will provide favorable
conditions for a potential freeze as surface temperatures are
forecast to drop into the lower 30s overnight. Some low lying areas
could drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s and will be most
susceptible to a freeze.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
