The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of west central Iowa and northeast Nebraska... including the following areas... in west central Iowa... Monona. In northeast Nebraska... Cedar... Knox and Thurston.
* Through late tonight
* 1 to 3 inches of heavy rain fell this morning over parts of northeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Additional heavy rain with local amounts of 2 to 4 inches will be possible depending of the track and duration of the storms... as they develop in the vicinity of the front and track east and then southeast. The rain this morning caused street flooding and elevated streams and additional heavy rain tonight may lead to flash flooding.
