* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:11 AM CDT on March 20, 2010
The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
eastern Douglas County in east central Nebraska
eastern Cass County in southeast Nebraska
northeastern Otoe County in southeast Nebraska
northeastern Sarpy County in east central Nebraska
northwestern Fremont County in southwest Iowa
southwestern Pottawattamie County in southwest Iowa
western Mills County in southwest Iowa
* until 900 am CDT Sunday
* at 855 am CDT... the public reported that water was just barely
leaving The Channel of the Missouri River south of Bellevue. This is
due to elevated flows along the river from recent snow melt and rain
from last week. At 9 am at Omaha... the river stage was 27.2 feet.
Flood stage is 29 feet. The river is forecast to remain around this
level for the next 24 hours. Thus... very minor flooding is possible
along the banks of the Missouri River from Omaha downstream until
the river begins to drop by early next week.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your vehicle to
cross safely.
