... Severe weather impacts western Nebraska Wednesday evening... Thunderstorms moved across western and north central Nebraska Wednesday evening. Quarter size hail and heavy rains accompanied the thunderstorms as they entered western Nebraska between 7 and 8 PM CDT. A cluster of storms over western Cherry and Grant counties quickly became severe as they moved east into moisture rich air. Two to three inches of rain fell in short periods of time with stronger storms. Thunderstorms exited north central and southwest Nebraska early Thursday morning.
