Statement as of 9:37 AM CDT on May 30, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Platte River near Kearney.
* At 9:15 am Saturday the stage was 6.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to begin a slow rise and
crest again around 6.9 feet by early Monday morning. This
crest would be slightly below the crest on may 22 of
7 feet. It is important to remember this forecast is
based on water which is already in the Platte
River basin. Changes to the forecast water level will be
possible should substantial rainfall be realized across
the basin through south central or western Nebraska at
anytime this week or next.
* At 6.0 feet... minor flooding of rural lowlands occur.
