Statement as of 8:17 PM CDT on May 22, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Platte River near Grand Island.
* At 7:15 PM Friday the stage was 6.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising, likely
cresting near 6.6 feet later tonight. A nearly steady water
level, near 6.6 feet, should then persist through the weekend. The
water level is then expected to slowly decrease beginning Sunday
night or Monday morning, falling below flood stage Monday night or
Tuesday morning.
* At 6.5 feet... rural farms and pasturelands flood.
