Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:48 AM CDT on May 29, 2015

... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1015 PM CDT Saturday
for east Central Hall... west central Hamilton and southwestern
Merrick counties...

* minor flooding will continue along the Platte River across
portions of Hall... Hamilton and Merrick counties. Minor flooding
has been reported in fields and near the hotel and arbys parking
lot near the Grand Island Highway 281 and Interstate 80
interchange. A Flood Advisory remains in effect through Saturday
night for areas adjacent to the river which may be impacted by
high water.

* At Grand Island... the river stage was 6.27 feet at 845 am Friday
which is just shy of the flood stage of 6.5 feet. The river is
forecast to fall some through Saturday... but begin a slow rise
again by Monday June 1. The river will likely crest again near
flood stage around June 3.

* Flooding along low lying areas will likely continue into early
next month. Those with property investments along the river should
take measures to protect their investment.

* These forecasts are based largely on water already in the Platte
River basin. Additional rainfall in the basin will result in
changes to anticipated stages and timing of crests or falls.
Always check river stages and forecasts daily at a minimum to
remain informed of the situation.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... low lying
areas near the Highway 281... and Interstate 80 exit 312
interchange.
