Freeze Warning
Statement as of 11:40 AM CDT on October 13, 2008
... Freeze warning in effect from 4 am to 9 am CDT Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 4 am to 9 am CDT Tuesday. The
freeze warning replaces the freeze watch.
Dry air... clear skies... and light winds will settle over the area
early Tuesday morning. This will set the stage for overnight low
temperatures to drop into the 29 to 32 degree range. The sub
freezing temperatures are most likely between 4 and 9 am Tuesday
morning with low lying areas being particularly susceptible to a
freeze.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
