Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:40 PM CDT on May 28, 2015

... Flood Advisory remains in effect for southeastern McPherson...
Logan... north central Lincoln... northwestern Custer and southern
Blaine counties until 100 am CDT...

At 936 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated an
area of light rain across Blaine County with little or no rain
falling elsewhere. Radar and storm spotters indicate 2 to 3 inches
of rain has fallen between Brewster... Dunning... 8 miles west of
Stapleton to 5 miles north of Birdwood.

Light rain will end across the advisory area shortly. Runoff from
the excessive rainfall this evening will cause minor flooding to
occur. Some locations that will experience flooding
include... Stapleton... Dunning and Gandy.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flooding of small creeks
and streams... country roads... normally dry washes... as well as
farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed... act quickly. Do not
enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher ground. Do not
stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.
