The Flood Warning continues for
the Salt Creek at Lincoln.
* At 4:15 am Thursday the stage was 22.9 feet... or 2.4 feet above
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 20.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 24.0 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage this evening.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Saline County in southeastern Nebraska...
northern Jefferson County in southeastern Nebraska...
northwestern Gage County in southeastern Nebraska...
Lancaster County in southeastern Nebraska...
southeastern Seward County in southeastern Nebraska...

* until 730 am CDT

* at 247 am CDT... local law enforcement continues to report ongoing
flooding. Generally speaking most locations within this warning
have received between 3 and 7 inches of rain. Thus far the highest
report received is just under 9 inches near Swanton. This heavy
rain has resulted in flash flooding which has now transitioned
mostly into river flooding. More rain is on the way.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lincoln... Crete... Waverly... Wilber... Hickman... Bennet...
Dorchester... De Witt... Cortland... Plymouth... western... Clatonia...
Hallam... Roca... Denton... Daykin... Sprague... Tobias... Swanton and
wagon train state Recreation Area.

Additional rainfall amounts of a quarter to a half inch are possible
in the warned area.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 136 in Nebraska between mile markers 141 and 147.
Highway 2 in Nebraska between mile markers 466 and 472.

* At 10:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 4.4 feet... or 14.6 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by overnight and continue to rise
to near 20.6 feet by overnight. The river will fall below flood
stage by this afternoon.
* Impact... at 20.5 feet... significant flooding occurs along portions
of The Reach.
