...Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST /11 am MST/ Friday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST /11 am MST/ Friday.

* Timing...light to moderate snow will continue across Sheridan and western Cherry counties this afternoon and spread south and east tonight. Light snow will come to an end Friday morning in the western sandhills and eastern Panhandle.

* Snow accumulations...2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts across northern Sheridan County and northwest Cherry County.

* Wind...north 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph in open areas.

* Impacts...roads will be snow covered this afternoon and through tonight with areas of blowing snow as wind increases. Visibility will fall to 1/2 mile in moderate snow and blowing snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
