* Winds... west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Impacts... be careful when driving on north to south oriented
roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

this evening for wind and low relative humidity for fire weather
zones 312 and 313...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a red flag
warning for wind and low relative humidity... which is in effect
from 11 am this morning to 7 PM MDT this evening.

* Affected area... fire weather zone 312 Box Butte/south Sioux
and fire weather zone 313 Scotts Bluff National
Monument/Wildcat Hills.

* Winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Relative humidity... as low as 10 percent.

* Impacts... windy and dry weather combined with dormant grasses
and cured small fuels... will produce critical fire weather
conditions this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.

... Record high temperature set at Sidney NE Airport...

A record high temperature of 92 degrees was set at the Sidney
Nebraska Airport today... may 26th. This breaks the old record of 91
degrees... which was set in 1969.
