... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST /5 am
MST/ Sunday...

* expect snow to continue developing this afternoon into early
this evening and then diminish early Sunday morning.

* The heaviest snowfall rates will occur between 6 PM this
evening and midnight tonight.

* Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.

* Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause patchy blowing and
drifting snow. Some reductions to visibility are expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. The latest Road conditions for the state you are calling
from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

... Freezing rain transitioning to snow...
freezing rain from earlier this afternoon is transitioning to
snow across northwest North Dakota. Visibilities at times may fall
below one half mile in the snow late this afternoon. Snow amounts
up to two inches may be possible by evening.

Roads will be slippery as the snow falls on ice from the previous
freezing rain. The North Dakota Highway patrol advises not using
cruise control on slippery roads.
