Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 5:59 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon CST today...
... Blizzard Warning will expire at 6 am CST early this morning...

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow... which is in effect until noon
CST today.

* Timing... light snow showers and strong winds will continue
throughout the morning hours.

* Winds / visibilities... winds gusting as high as 40 mph will
cause areas lower visibility to a mile or less with snow
showers.

* Impacts... conditions have improved slightly since last
night... but blowing snow will continue to be an issue in some
areas. Plan on slippery Road conditions.

* Winds... northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
