A red flag warning remains in effect from 1 PM CDT /noon MDT/ this afternoon to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening.
Expect west to northwest winds of 30 to 35 mph and gusts of 45 to 50 mph with minimum relative humidities of 20 to 25 percent Wednesday afternoon and evening.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of strong winds and low relative humidity will create explosive fire growth potential.
