Statement as of 5:30 PM CDT on May 28, 2015

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for poor drainage areas
for...
eastern LaMoure County in southeastern North Dakota...
central and eastern Dickey County in southeastern North Dakota...

* until 1130 PM CDT Thursday

* at 523 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
persitent thunderstorms. Through early this evenng thunderstorms
will continue to develop and move over eastern LaMoure and Dickey
counties. The heavy rain from these storms will cause Urban and
Small Stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result
in minor flooding in the advisory area. Doppler radar has
estimated up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oakes... Ellendale... LaMoure... Marion... Verona... Fullerton...
Ludden... Grand Rapids... Monango... Berlin... Guelph and Glover.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
