... Strong cold front late tonight will bring a return to hard winter...

A strong cold front will sweep across the region late tonight and
Tuesday morning. Northwest winds will increase behind the front... with
sustained winds around 30 mph and gusts to 45 mph west of the Red
River valley on Tuesday. In addition... 1 to 3 inches of snow are
possible late tonight into Tuesday morning. The best potential for
snow will be along the north and South Dakota border into adjacent
west central Minnesota. Combined with the strong winds... the snow
and blowing snow may lead to difficult travel conditions late
tonight into Tuesday... including the morning commute. There is
still some uncertainty on how widespread accumulating snow will
occur and to what degree blowing snow will reduce visibility.

If you are planning to travel over the region Monday night or
Tuesday... please monitor the latest forecast.
