The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the little Missouri River at Medora
* from Wednesday night until early Friday morning
* at 8am Wednesday the stage was... 13.8 feet
* minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 15.0 feet
* forecast to rise above flood stage tonight into Thursday
from ice jam flooding as a significant ice flow arrives in the Medora
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... right bank overflows and damages camping
area on the west side of Medora.

... Here is a summary of flood products in effect for western and
central North Dakota as of late Thursday evening...
Note that ice was affecting creeks and rivers across western and
central North Dakota... and until that ice clears... expect fluctuations
in water levels.
Flood warnings are in effect for these areas... in the Missouri
The Missouri River near Williston affecting Williams and McKenzie
counties. Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
Little Missouri River at Medora affecting Billings and Golden
Valley counties. Minor flooding is forecast.
Cannonball river at Breien affecting Morton and Sioux counties.
Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
Heart river at Mandan affecting Morton County. Minor flooding is
Beaver Creek at Linton affecting Emmons County. Minor flooding is
occurring and is forecast to continue.
Flood advisories are in effect for these areas...
In west central North Dakota... Beaver Creek through northern
Golden Valley County where elevated water levels are occurring.
In southwest North Dakota... the little Missouri through
Bowman and slope counties where ice jam flooding is causing rapid
fluctuations in water levels.
