Special Statement
Statement as of 3:17 PM CDT on October 01, 2014

...Accumulating snow and strong wind possible late Thursday night into Friday...

A strong cold front will move through the Devils Lake basin into the northern Red River valley late Thursday night and Friday. Rain may mix with or change to all snow by dawn Friday morning as temperatures fall into the 30s. Snow may continue Friday morning...and light accumulations are possible if snow rates become high enough to overcome the very warm ground. Strong northerly winds will also develop behind the cold front...and could gust to near 50 mph by late Thursday night and Friday.

Stay tuned to later statements on this potential early season snow and high wind potential.
