thunderstorms were producing heavy rains over northern Brunswick County into New Hanover County... At 120 PM EDT...thunderstorms were developing along the sea breeze boundary. The heaviest rain was located between Winnabow and Leland in Brunswick County moving northeast toward Wrightsboro. These storms will move northeast around 25 mph. Communities in the path of these storms are Wilmington...Smith Creek...Wrightsboro...Castle Hayne and Leland. These thunderstorms will produce heavy rainfall causing ponding of water on roadways.
