... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST this
evening...

* locations... the North Carolina mountains adjacent to Tennessee
and portions of the central mountains.

* Hazards... light accumulations of freezing rain... sleet and
snow.

* Timing... rain may turn to or mix with freezing rain... sleet and
snow..before precipitation ends by early evening.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a few hundredths of an inch of ice.

* Impacts... the ice and snow will create slippery roadways.

* Temperatures... in the mid 30s... dropping into the 20s early this
evening.

* Winds... northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
