	Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 10:25 PM EST on November 15, 2009 ... Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 am EST Monday... The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 8 am EST Monday. Areas of fog have started to develop over eastern North Carolina this evening. The fog will become more widespread and dense later tonight with visibilities dropping to 1/4 mile or less at times. The fog will begin to lift after sunrise Monday morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... reduce your speed... use your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and those around you.

11/12/2009 1000 PM Ocracoke, Hyde County. Storm surge e0.00 ft, reported by dept of highways. Ocean overwash between Ocracoke and Hatteras Inlet closed portions of Highway 12 from Thursday night through noon on Saturday. Soundside flooding of 12-18 inches impacted the northern side of the island. 11/12/2009 1000 PM Ocracoke, Hyde County. Non-thunderstorm wind gust m58 mph, reported by dept of highways. Ferry terminal recorded 58mph wind gusts.
