... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST
Friday...

* locations... much of the sandhills and southern coastal plain...
   including Southern Pines... Fayetteville... Clinton...
Albemarle... and surrounding areas.

* Hazard types... black ice on sidewalks and roads.

* Timing... temperatures will drop below freezing between midnight
and 2 am across south central North Carolina... causing any
moisture on roads and sidewalks to freeze. Readings are likely
to stay below freezing until mid morning Friday.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions.

* Temperatures... in upper 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued because wet roads and
cold temperatures will result in areas of black ice on roads and
sidewalks. Motorists should exercise extreme caution tonight into
Friday morning... especially at intersections... onramps and
offramps... bridges... and overpasses... where accidents are most
likely.
