Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 9:16 PM EST on November 15, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am EST Monday...
The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 9 am EST Monday.
Fog is expected to develop over much of our region overnight. The
fog should become widespread and dense... reducing visibilities to
less than a quarter mile. Visibilities should be lowest in the
rural Countryside... where they may become reduced to near zero or
a few tens of yards. The fog is expected to lift gradually by mid
morning Monday.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead
of you. Consider leaving early for school or work on Monday
morning due to possible travel delays due to the fog.
