Special Statement
Statement as of 4:09 AM EST on March 06, 2015

... Icy conditions through Friday morning...

Motorists should be alert for patchy areas of snow or ice on
roadways this morning. Areas of black ice may be difficult to
detect... where any liquid moisture froze overnight. Flooding and
ponding on roadways may also freeze over.

Many roads across southwestern Virginia and the Cumberland Plateau
will have some combination of snow and ice in spots. Back roads
in the higher elevations elsewhere could also be hazardous.
