The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Nash County in central North Carolina...
Franklin County in central North Carolina...
Wake County in central North Carolina...
Halifax County in central North Carolina...

* until 445 am EDT

* at 149 am EDT... Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
training along the same areas from northern Wake County northeast
across Franklin... northern Nash... and central Halifax counties.
The heaviest rain was falling on an axis from north Raleigh to
Louisburg to Halifax... where rainfall totals in excess of 1.5
inchs in the past hour have occurred. Additionally up to an inch
in the next hour can be expected. This will cause Urban and Small
Stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Raleigh... Bunn... Wake Forest... Louisburg... Nashville... Red
Oak... Roanoke Rapids... and Halifax.
