Roads which remain wet into this evening will have the potential to freeze overnight as temperatures fall below freezing.

... The Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM EST for urban areas and small streams in Henderson County...
* at 412 PM EST... local stream gauges across central Henderson County continue to indicate stream levels above flood stage... but water levels have decreased in the last hour. With continued runoff and snow melt... flooding conditions are expected to continue for some areas near streams and creeks through late afternoon.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected. However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams... and ponding of water on country roads and farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.

Forecast flooding increased from minor to moderate severity... the Flood Warning continues for the French Broad River at Blantyre. * Until late Monday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 10:30 am Friday the stage was 15.6 feet. * Flood stage is 16.0 feet. * Moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... rise above flood stage by late this morning and continue to rise to near 19.5 feet by tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage by Monday early afternoon. * Impact... at 20.0 feet... water will start to move across parts of Highway 64. A few buildings between the river and Highway 64 will be flooded.

The National Weather Service in Greenville Spartanburg has issued a * Flood Watch for the French Broad River at Blantyre. * From Saturday morning to Monday afternoon. * At 8 am Thursday the stage was 9.2 feet. * Minor flooding is possible. * Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. * Flood stage is 16.0 feet. * Forecast... if the current precipitation amounts hold... flood stage may be reached early Saturday morning... around 100 am EST. The river may also crest at 17.0 feet by 100 am Sunday morning.
