National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of showers and embedded thunderstorm from 5 miles northwest of Ivor to 8 miles west of Rich Square... or from Wakefield to 8 miles west of Rich Square... moving northeast at 45 mph. This activity will be near Woodland around 145 am EST... Saint John around 150 am EST... Alliance around 155 am EST... Winton around 200 am EST... Tunis around 205 am EST... Riddicksville around 210 am EST... Expect locally heavy rainfall with this line of showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts of a quarter to a half inch will be possible... leading to some ponding on roadways. Winds of up to 45 mph are possible with these storms... as well as occasional lightning. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 am EST Thursday morning for portions of northeast North Carolina and southeastern Virginia. Wamsley
