Southampton... Suffolk... Virginia Beach and York.
* Through Friday morning
* periods of heavy rain will continue today... and last through
Friday morning. Total rainfall amounts will average 3 to 6
inches through 700 am Friday morning. Total rainfall
amounts... between 6 to 8 inches... with locally higher amounts
possible... are expected to be widespread across Hampton Roads in
southeast Virginia and across northeast North Carolina.
* Heavy rainfall will cause flooding of creeks and small streams.
Additionally... flooding will also occur in poor drainage areas.
