... The Flood Warning remains in effect until 515 PM EST for Cleveland
and western Lincoln counties...
At 1244 PM EST... widespread rain continued to fall across the warned
area with another half inch of rain expected to fall through
mid-afternoon... on top of already saturated conditions. High to
excessive amounts of runoff will continue... especially throughout
the first Broad River basin in Cleveland County... and across the
numerous drainages which feed the South Fork Catawba in Lincoln
County.
Motorists are advised to remain wary of high water conditions and
are reminded to never cross flooded roads. Interests near creeks and
streams should continue to keep an eye on water levels throughout
the day.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a
* Flood Warning for the Broad River in NC at Boiling Springs.
* From this afternoon to Thursday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 8.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 13.7 feet this evening. The river will fall below
flood stage early tomorrow morning.
* At 14.0 feet... water will reach the steps of some Mobile
homes near the gage site.
