Scattered showers...and a few thunderstorms...will move east out of east Tennessee and across the mountains of North Carolina through the early part of the evening. A few of the showers may come down off the Blue Ridge and move out over the foothills through sunset as well. Around sunset...a larger area of rain and thunderstorms over the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee Valley will approach the mountains. If they hold together...many locations along the Tennessee border will get rain during the mid to late evening.
