... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST this
morning...

* locations... the southern sandhills and southern coastal
plain... including Wadesboro... Rockingham... Raeford...
Fayetteville... Clinton... and Goldsboro.

* Hazard types... although the advised area didn't receive any
accumulating snow... there was a significant amount of rain...
and any areas where rainwater runoff drains onto the Road may
result in localized areas of black ice this morning.

* Timing... through mid morning.

* Impacts... freezing of rainwater runoff on area roads will result
in localized icy conditions this morning. In addition... walkways
and sidewalks may be slippery and dangerous to walk on.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Its often hard to see or recognize black ice ahead of you... so be
sure to take it easy and drive slower... leave plenty of following
distance... and exercise extreme caution.
