* Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Surry County in north central North Carolina...
central Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina...
Alleghany County in northwestern North Carolina...
southeastern Grayson County in southwestern Virginia...
south central Carroll County in southwestern Virginia...

* until 100 am EDT Monday

* at 505 PM EDT... trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
causing minor flooding in The Glade valley vicinity. Up to 4

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Galax...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

When it is safe to do so... please send your reports of flooding...
including mudslides or Road closures... to the National Weather
Service by calling toll free at 1... 8 6 6... 2 1 5... 4 3 2 4. Reports
and pictures can also be shared on the National Weather Service
Blacksburg facebook Page and on twitter.
