The high temperature at Bluefield today was 85 degrees... which is a new
record for the date. The old record was 84 degrees set in 2011.

... NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Roanoke remains off the
air...

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter on Poor Mountain... which
serves the Roanoke area... is off the air due to a problem at the
transmitter site. The problem is being investigated and it is
unknown when the transmitter will return to service. We apologize
for any inconvenience this outage may cause.
