Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 4:04 AM MST on November 12, 2009
... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this
afternoon...
The Winter Weather Advisory for elevations below 5000 feet has
been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning. The Winter Storm Warning
remains in effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon.
Light to moderate snow is occurring over southwest Montana this
morning and will continue through this evening. Total snow
accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected with locally heavier
snow amounts in the mountains.
Additionally... expect visibilities to be reduced to less
than one mile at times in areas of falling snow.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel hazardous. Keep an extra
flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
