The Winter Storm Warning for elevations above 5000 feet is now in
effect until 10 PM MDT Sunday. A Winter Weather Advisory for
elevations below 5000 feet remains in effect until noon MDT
Sunday.

* Timing: periods of snow... heavy at times... will continue in the
mountains through Sunday for elevations above 5000 feet. A mix of
rain and snow is expected for elevations below 5000 feet... with
mostly snow falling at night.

* Snow accumulations: total snowfall of 12 to 24 inches is
expected above 5000 feet... with isolated higher amounts. For
elevations below 5000 feet... total snowfall of 3 to 6 inches is
expected... with most of the accumulating snowfall occurring at
night.

* Visibility: visibilities will be reduced to less than one
quarter of mile at times in areas of heavier snowfall.

* Other impacts: mountain passes and roadways will become snow
covered and slippery... with lower elevation roadways
becoming slushy at times tonight. Heavy wet snow could cause
damage to trees or power lines. Outdoor recreationists
should be prepared for winter weather conditions.

* Locations affected include: White Sulphur Springs.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must... keep an extra flashlight... food... and

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
