Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 10:56 PM MDT on April 25, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10 am MDT Sunday above
4000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for heavy wet snow in the southern Bitterroot
valley above 4000 feet... which is in effect until 10 am MDT
Sunday.

* Impacts/timing: precipitation will intensify over the Bitterroot
valley tonight... with rain eventually mixing with or changing to
snow for many elevations, especially above 4000 feet. Heavy wet
snow could snap tree limbs and lead to power outages at those higher
elevations.

* Snow accumulations: 4 to 6 inches for locations on the periphery
of the valley. Slushy 1 to 3 inches possible in grassy areas at
the valley floor above 3500 feet, such as Hamilton and Darby.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
