Air Quality Alert
Statement as of 12:14 PM MDT on August 30, 2015

The Montana department of environmental quality has updated the air
quality alert for Lincoln, Sanders, Mineral, Missoula, and Ravalli
in effect until 12pm MDT Monday, August 31.

An air quality alert means that particulates have been trending
upwards and that an exceedance of the 24 hour National ambient air
quality Standard (naaqs) has occurred or may occur in the near
future.

Particulate levels across portions of west central and northwest
Montana will continue to be unhealthy for sensitive groups.

When air quality levels are unhealthy for sensitive groups... the
Montana department of health and human services recommends that
people with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly and children
should limit prolonged exertion.

Another statement will be issued about 12 PM MDT Monday unless
conditions improve and the alert is no longer needed.

For more information... visit the Montana department of environmental
quality at http://www.Todaysair.Mt.Gov.
