Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 11:30 PM MDT on June 01, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northwest Montana... including the following
county: Flathead... .

* through Tuesday morning

* rain will become moderate to heavy at times through Tuesday
morning. Rainfall totals will be between 1 to 2 inches... with
isolated areas possibly seeing more than that.

* Heavy downpours could pose an issue for going to the sun Road in
Glacier National Park. Rock and mudslides will be a possibility
if the Road is caught under the heaviest bands of rainfall or
under a potent thunderstorm. Steep terrain elsewhere in gnp will
also be at risk of seeing excessive runoff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
