Warnings and Notices

	Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 3:15 PM MST on November 11, 2009 ... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST Thursday... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until 5 PM MST Thursday. 10 to 14 inches of snow is expected by the time snowfall subsides late Thursday... with locally heavier amounts expected on west facing slopes. A mix of rain and snow has been over the area this afternoon. As temperatures cool this evening precipitation will turn over to all snow and intensify through the overnight hours. The heaviest snowfall will occur from midnight to noon over southern and western portions of the warned area... and from 6 am through 6 PM MDT over northern and eastern sections of the warned area. Snow will diminish late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow... are expected or occurring. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling. Practice your winter safety rules. Keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of emergency.
