... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am MDT Monday...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until 6 am MDT Monday.
Snowfall rates will increase early tonight as temperatures cool and an additional 8 to 14 inches of snowfall is expected on top of the 6 to 12 inches that has already fallen. Any roadways that were not already snowpacked will quickly become snow or slush covered. Gusty winds will cause additional blowing and drifting of snow. As snow accumulates on branches tonight it will result in downed tree limbs and power lines.
With an additional 3 to 5 inches of snowfall expected on Sunday total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet can be expected by the time the snow tapers off Sunday night.
A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are expected. Gusty winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
