Statement as of 3:30 PM MDT on July 12, 2009 The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Cascade County in central Montana... this includes the city of Great Falls... extreme west central Chouteau County in north central Montana... southeastern Teton County in north central Montana... north central Lewis And Clark County in west central Montana... * until 415 PM MDT * at 328 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms along a line extending from 3 miles west of Fort Shaw to 18 miles southwest of belt... moving northeast at 30 mph. * Locations in the warning include belt... Black Eagle... Fort Shaw... Great Falls and power. This also includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 259 and 310... and Highway 87 between mile markers 4 and 12... .and Highway 200 between mile markers 123 and 139. Hail to the size of nickels are possible and wind gusts to 60 mph are likely with these storms. Strong winds are the primary threat with this line of storms. Damaging winds up to 61 mph were reported near Dearborn with this storm. This is a dangerous storm... seek safe shelter and stay away from windows. Lat...
