Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 4:02 AM MDT on August 04, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from noon MDT today through
this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southeast Montana... including the following...
Carter... Custer... Fallon... Powder River and Rosebud.

* From noon MDT today through this evening

* thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening. These
thunderstorms are expected to be slow moving and have the
potential to produce torrential rainfall. Localized flash
flooding is possible... especially in and near recent burn scar
areas. Be alert if you live near rivers and streams... burn scar
locations and low spots where runoff typically flows.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
