... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST
A Winter Weather Advisory for strong winds and blowing and
drifting snow remains in effect until 5 am MST Tuesday.
* Winds... west to southwest 35 to 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph.
The strongest winds will occur near Big Timber.
* Blowing and drifting snow... visibilities will be drastically
reduced in open country. Brief whiteout conditions are possible.
Large snow drifts will develop in places.
* Impacts... travel will be difficult due to strong winds and
reduced visibilities. Strong cross winds will impact Interstate
90 from Livingston to Big Timber... and Highway 191 north of Big
If traveling... check the latest Road reports before leaving... let
others know of your plans... and use extra caution while driving.

The wxcoder 3 system that is controlled and operated by the
western region climate center (wrcc) in Reno Nevada is down. The
cause of the outage is unknown at this time and we are unsure when
a fix will be implemented.
In the meantime... please continue to send in your reports to NWS
Billings and we will do our best to get them entered for you.
