A strong disturbance will move across the area today through Monday. Very gusty west to northwest winds will develop by this afternoon across the area. A few gusts around 60 mph will be possible...especially along the higher ridges. In addition...rain and snow showers will be possible throughout the day. Some of this precipitation may be in the form of freezing rain this morning for areas mainly east of Billings.

A strong area of low pressure will be over the Dakotas on Monday resulting in continued gusty northwest winds. Wind gusts around 50 mph will be possible. In addition...areas of snow...mainly along and east of a Hysham to Sheridan line...can be expected. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches along with blowing snow and reduced visibilities will be possible.
