The National Weather Service in Glasgow has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow... which is in effect from 11 am
to 8 PM MST Monday. A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until
11 am MST Monday.
* Wind chill values... 20 to 40 below.
* Timing... wind chill through late Monday morning. Blowing snow
Monday afternoon and early evening.
* Blowing snow impact... new snowfall of 1 to 2 inches and strong
northwesterly wind of 25 to 35 mph will generate blowing snow
along with drifting snow that will make travel difficult.
* Other impacts... wind chills to 40 below can cause frostbite in
less than 30 minutes on exposed skin.
Try to dress adequately. Be sure to wear layered light weight and
wind proof clothing... and wear a hat and mittens for protection
from the dangers of frostbite. Make sure that pets and livestock
have adequate food... unfrozen water... and shelter from cold and
