Statement as of 10:45 am CDT on July 6, 2009 NOAA Weather Radio station kih- 52 in Oxford Mississippi... broadcasting on 162.550 mhz... will be off and on the air due to a communications equipment problem. Technicians are currently troubleshooting the problem and the duration of the outage is unknown at this time. The National Weather Service in Memphis apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and is working to restore the weather radio transmitter back to service as soon as possible.
