Rain...showers and thunderstorms will continue to move northeast across a portion of the midsouth this evening. Through 730 PM CST... precipitation is likely south and east of a Steele Missouri... Forrest City Arkansas line. This does include west Tennessee and north Mississippi. Heavy downpours associated with the thunderstorms can easily produce an inch of rain in a half of an hour. This will certainly cause ponding of water on the roadways...with small creeks and streams filling rapidly. In addition...there will be multiple cells training over the same locations...allowing for widespread areas of one to three inches of rain across the region.
